noovu — Support
A private cycle and medication tracker for iPhone
Something not working, or something you wish worked differently? Write to noovu@iiooio.com. One person reads that address, and answers as soon as she can.
Please say which iPhone and which iOS version you are on, and what you expected to happen. Never send screenshots of anything you would rather keep private — noovu is designed so that nobody else ever sees your history, and support is no exception.
Bringing your history in
noovu can read what you already have. In Settings → Import:
- Apple Health — period days and spotting already stored on your phone, whatever app put them there.
- Clue — request your data export from Clue, unzip it, and pick the
measurements.jsonfile.
Importing only adds days you do not already have, so running it twice changes nothing.
Moving to a new phone
Use Settings → Backup → Back up everything on the old phone, save the file wherever you keep files, and use Restore from a backup on the new one. The backup carries your history, your events with their colours, and your medications with their schedules.
The CSV export is a different thing: it is a readable copy to keep or show a doctor, and it cannot restore the app.
Reminders are not arriving
Check Settings → Notifications → noovu on your iPhone, and that the medication itself has reminders switched on with a time set. A medication scheduled by cycle day only reminds you on the days it is actually due, so quiet days are normal.
Your data
Everything stays on your phone. There is nothing to sign in to and no server, and the app contains no networking code at all. Deleting noovu deletes its data — take a backup first if you want to keep it. Anything noovu wrote into Apple Health stays in Health, and is removed there, under Health's own controls.
